Parliament has scheduled five Ministers to appear before the House to answer questions relating to their respective ministries.

They are the Health, Youth and Sports, Power, Water Resources, Works and Housing and the Roads and Highways Ministers. The five Ministers are expected to attend upon the House to respond to seventeen (17) questions asked of them during the week.

On Tuesday, May 31, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Takoradi Constituency, Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah will ask the Health Minister ‘whether the Ministry has plans for a new regional hospital for the Western Region and if so, when it will materialize.

The MP for Lambussie/Karni Constituency in the Upper West Region, Edward Kaale-Ewola Dery will have the opportunity on Wednesday, June 1 to ask the Minister for Power when the following communities, Kokorligu, Chetu, Boguno and eight others will be connected to the National Electricity Grid.

Hon. Elizabeth K.T. Sackey, Okaikwei North MP will take her turn on Thursday to ask the Minister for Water Resources, Works and Housing ‘what urgent steps are being taken to reconstruct the washed off concrete slabs on the Odaw Stream at Abofu near the Achimota Bus Terminal to prevent the occurrence of accidents, injury and loss of human lives.’

The Business Statement for the Third Week of the House will end on Friday, June 3.
