Thirty-four Legislative Instruments are expected to be laid on the floor of Parliament before the close of the Second Meeting of the Third Session of the Seventh Parliament.
The Legislative Instruments include the Heritage Sites Instrument, 2019, Receptive Centres Instrument, 2019, Labour (Domestic Workers) Regulations, 2019, Ghana Shipping (Carriage of Containers) Regulation, 2019, Ghana Shipping (Service Providers) Regulations, 2019, Judicial Service Regulations, 2019, Local Content (Petroleum Downstream Sector) Regulations, Lands Commission Regulations, 2019, among others.
Out of the thirty-four Legislative Instruments expected to be laid, two of them have been presented at the Plenary for subsequent referral.
The two Legislative Instruments are the Office of the Administrator of Stool Lands Regulations, 2019 and the Land Use and Spatial Planning Regulations, 2019.
The Office of the Administrator of Stool Lands Regulations and the Land Use and Spatial Planning Regulations were referred to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Subsidiary Legislation, for consideration and report.
Meanwhile, there are already five Legislative Instruments referred to the Subsidiary Legislation for consideration and report. These are the Parliamentary Service (Staff) Regulations, 2019, Ghana International Trade Commission (Anti-Dumping) Regulations, 2019, Petroleum Revenue Management Regulations, 2019, Ghana International Trade Commission (Customs Valuation) (Dispute Settlement) Regulations, 2019 and the Biosafety (Management of Biotechnology) Regulations, 2019.
The Legislative Instruments referred to the Committee are expected to mature in thirty Sitting days and thereafter, come into force.
