The Ghana Bar Association (GBA) has issued a statement on media reports regarding the purported leakage of an examination questions in connection with the 2018 entrance examinations to the Ghana School of Law.
In the statement signed by the National President and the National Secretary the association has indicated that it is not in the position to verify or dispute the claims relating to the alleged leakage.
The Association added that it would deem the situation as very unfortunate and disturbing if the allegations are proven.
The Ghana Bar Association has called for thorough investigation by the Independent Examination Committee and the General Legal Council.
The Association has urged the candidates to exercise restraint and pursue their ambitions and urged Ghanaians to be guarded in their comments regarding statutory bodies and institutions and in this particular instance, the General Legal Council.
The Ghana Bar Association has indicated that it will keenly follow the investigations and at all times avail itself in the pursuit and development of legal education in Ghana.
