An Accra Circuit Court, presided over by Her Honour Abena Oppong Adjin-Doku, has denied an application on submission of no case made by popular musician, Eugene Ashie a.k.a Wisa.
Wisa who was charged with gross indecency in 2015, after he allegedly removed his penis out of his jeans whiles performing on stage at a “December to Remember” musical concert.
According to the judge, the prosecution argued that none of the prosecution witnesses were eye witnesses to the incident.
The judge ruled that the prosecution had established a prima facie case although the only prosecution witness who witnessed the incident, Jerry Narh, (the Disc Jockey on stage at the time of Wisa’s performance) has relocated and his current residence could not be ascertained.
The case has been adjourned to 5th February, 2018 for the Accused person to open his defence.
