The search revealed one locally manufactured  pistol and three live cartridges, with one them  in the chamber of the pistol, all concealed in a small bag on the waist of the Accused.

DSP Nawegbe stated that the Accused was subsequently arrested for possessing a fire arm without lawful authority and taken to the CID headquarters in Accra for investigations.

“During the investigation, the Accused claimed to have bought the pistol from someone at Duayaw Nkwanta but Accused could not lead the police to the seller of the gun. He was therefore charged and brought before the court”, he said.
