The Office of the Attorney-General and Ministry of Justice has paid tribute to the late Ms. Helena French at a funeral service in Accra.
In a tribute, the AG said as a State Attorney, Ms. French handled several cases in court and proffered legal advice to various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of the government.
The tribute stated that undeniably the Office of the AG and Ministry of Justice as well as other MDAs that Ms. French worked for have lost a very industrious state attorney. It added that she willingly provided precedents of processes and authorities on legal matters and offered her assistance whenever sought.
It also said that to her credit, she was part of the team that handled the ISOFOTON case, a high profile case, among others.
The tribute further intimated that the Office of the AG shall honour her most worthily not merely by tributes in shining stars or monumental marble, but emulating her virtues.
The late Ms. French was called to the Bar in 2006. She was 59 years old.
