Parliament goes on recess

The First Meeting of the Third Session of the Seventh Parliament has ended as the House goes on recess.

Court Grants Ofosu Ampofo Bail

The financial division of the High Court has admitted Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Anthony Kwaku Boahen, the Deputy Communication Director of the NDC to bail in the sum of GHC 100,000 with one surety each.

We will not tolerate reports on unaccounted Payment Vouchers – Hon. Avedzi

The Chairman for the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Accounts, Mr. James Klutse Avedzi, has stated that the Public Accounts Committee will not tolerate reports on unaccounted Payment Vouchers (PVs) of the various agencies cited by the Auditors-General.

Delay in payment of Taxes: We apologise for infraction – Mr. Kwaku Dua

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC), Mr. Kwaku Dua, has apologised for the delay in the payment of withholding taxes to the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).
