Daniel Asiedu alias sexy ‘dondon’, the first Accused person in the murder case of the late Member of Parliament, J.B Danquah, has said that he will need a lawyer from the International Criminal Court (ICC) to represent him before the committal proceedings commence.
The first Accused person prayed the Court to do everything possible to assit him get a lawyer from the ICC because of the nature of the case.
At the last adjourned date, the Accused persons Daniel Asiedu and Vincent Bosso were advised to secure the services of a lawyer before the committal proceedings today. The Accused persons however, were unable to secure legal representation.
The Court, presided over by Her Worship Arit Nsemoh, explained to the Accused persons that they could represent themselves, and would not necessarily need a lawyer for the committal proceedings but they (Accused persons) insisted.
The Court has ordered the Registrar to write to the Judicial Secretary to solicit legal representation from Legal Aid, for the Accused persons before the next adjourned date.
The committal proceeding which was to take place today has been adjourned to 6th February, 2019.
