An Accra High Court presided over by His Lordship, Justice Eric Kyei Baffour, has adjourned the case involving Mr. Eugene Baffoe- Bonnie, former Board Chairman of the National Communications Authority and three others to 16th October, 2018.
According to the judge this will allow the Accused persons to prepare themselves for trial after the necessary prosecution documents are served on them.
The Director of Public Prosecution, Mrs. Yvonne Obuobisa Attakora said in Court that the prosecution had filed 52 documents yesterday and that the Accused persons are yet to be served.
The Director of Public Prosecutions added that the prosecution looked at what the Accused persons requested for and were also guided by the recent Supreme Court ruling on pre-trial disclosures to provide documents that would, and would not, be used during the trial.
Counsel for the first Accused person, Mr. Thaddeus Sory, suggested to the Court to make an order after the Supreme Court ruling on pre-trial disclosures, to serve as a compass to guide to the prosecution as to which documents should be given to them in order to avoid further requests of documents by the Accused persons.
Mr. Samuel Codjoe, Counsel for the third Accused person prompted the judge before the adjournment that he had a pending motion to move.
The judge has adjourned the moving and determination of the motion to 30th July, 2018.
