An Accra Circuit Court presided over by His Honour, Mr. Aboagye Tandoh has sentenced one Stephen Osazee, to 21 years imprisonment with hard labour, for robbery.
The facts of the case are that the Complainant Salifu Diau Rahman is an accountant at Amanfrom Senior High School and resides at Red Top, a suburb of New Bortianor, where the Accused person also resides.
On 30th December, 2016, the Complainant and his brother went out with the Complainant’s unregistered Toyota Highlander with trade plate No. DV 1047-16.
In the absence of the Complainant, the Accused and two others scaled the fence well into the Complainant’s house.
At about 9:50pm that same day, the Complainant returned home in the said car. On their arrival, the Accused and the two others, attacked them with a locally manufactured pistol and pump action gun and ordered him to hand over the car key to them which he did.
