Following a few number of Members of Parliament present in the House on Thursday, the Honourable Member of Parliament for Banda, Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim is questioning why Ministers are always flying out of Ghana and not coming to Parliament to do government business.
According to the Honourable Deputy Minority Chief whip, most of the ministers are not coming to Parliament to answer questions, but rather sending their deputies to come do business on the floor.
He made this remarks when the Honourable Second Deputy Majority Whip sought permission for the Deputy Ministers of communication to answer questions on the floor of the House on behalf of the Communications Minister.
The Honourable Second Deputy Majority Whip, Mr. Mathew Nyindam noted that not all the ministers have travelled out of the jurisdiction. He further added that when they fly out of Ghana, it’s for the country’s interest.
The Communications Minister was summoned to answer questions on the National Digital Addressing System and other related matters which were being discussed in the media within this week.
