According to Jerry Avenorgbor, Counsel for the Accused person, the main evidence in establishing the Accused person’s case, is with someone who is out of the country.
He explained that without the presence of the said person, the evidence cannot be made available to the court.
Mr. Avenorgbor said the evidence was pivotal as it would help the judge to effectively determine the case on its merit.
The Defence Counsel therefore asked for a two-week adjournment within which the said person with the evidence, would have returned.
The case was adjourned to 21st February, 2018.
